After a particularly cold and chilly August, I suggested to a friend living in LA we meet up for a weekend in Palm Springs. (When you’ve lived in San Francisco for a while, you begin to get strategic about planning escapes to hot weather!)

Last summer I had the opportunity to make my first visit to Calistoga’s Indian Springs resort. For the uninitiated, Indian Springs Calistoga is in the north part of Napa Valley, built on natural hot springs that fill two large pools with warm mineral water.
